Lyon Graulty

Lyon Graulty plays for Thrift Set Orchestra Lyon Graulty plays the clarinet and tenor sax for Thrift Set Orchestra. Lyon Graulty, born and raised in rural New England, now makes his home in swingin’ Austin, TX. The diverse arsenal of musical instruments at his command has led to a varied and lively musical career. After four years hitting road with Massachusetts Americana/Folk band, The Amity Front, Lyon exploded into a million pieces—each piece landing in a different musical project: honky tonkers JP Harris and the Tough Choices, viper jazz pickers Woody Pines, sepia toned folkies The Birdseye View and the brassy swingers Lauren Ambrose and the Leisure Class. But the sights and sounds of Austin would draw him in for good: In 2010, Lyon picked up the pieces and made his way South to Austin. Besides playing clarinet and sax with the Thrift Set Orchestra, he takes the stage with The White Ghost Shivers, The Swingsters, Vine House and The East Side Dandies.

Arrangements are done by Jon Doyle, Lyon Graulty, David Jellema, Mark ‘Speedy’ Gonzales, and Ryan Gould.

Original compositions in the band are done by Jon Doyle, Albanie Falletta, and David Jellema.
